Is there a wrong way to pray?

I'm going to have to go with a hard, Yes, and, that it matters greatly. It's not about when you cannot formulate words because you are so heavy burdened or overwhelmed, or, that you just do not know what to say or do. When you say, "Father", He listens to us. There are groanings in those prayers only God knows about. We will discuss those a little later on. Keep reading though, it's quite simple and you may find it interesting.
How to pray then, is our question. How not to pray is something Believers should give careful consideration to. Let's discuss both so that we may be faithful in our prayers. Faithful to God in Heaven, that is.
Prayer oftentimes seems to be something burdensome to one and yet, a mystical something or other to others. I prefer those rooted in the reality types. Yes, I do have faith in God in Heaven and with good reason, He is no fairytale. Also Yes, I had been given to pondering that question more than once. Thankfully, the thought was not entertained for long...I could be very lost without hope, cut off even. You may have read about that in the Bible. If not, we have yet another topic of discussion for another time.
It is appalling that the majority of those calling themselves Christians no longer seek after God for His Righteousness. Seeking His Hand is the way to go don't you know? This seems to me to be the favorite song and dance for the Great I AM. I think I'll sit that one out thank you and, worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. Oh and, Jesus is the Truth. As a bold matter of fact, He is, "The Way, the Truth and, The Light" (John 14:6). The One Who transform from a soul in deep darkness into a marvelous light. That's The One I met. I have to admit it kind of shook me up but, I got the message, He meant business and I should hear. He apprehends us for the Kingdom of God, His dear Father and ours. Let us represent Him in, "Truth and in Spirit", as He calls us to. Let's get to know Him.
Prayer; the coming before the Throne of The Great I Am for petition or supplication, to seek out His righteousness, to gain wisdom and knowledge of Him. We also have the protection, guidance, comfort, understanding, deliverance, to bring before Him. All of this should be done with thanksgiving and acknowledging of Our Father as The Most High. Mostly, we bring needs. Blessings are now all material and gosh it seems to me, lacking in any earnest desire to know Him more. Ephesians 1:3 is important to those who have been transformed in ways beyond what we ourselves could have done. Something inside changes and well, it's really like chains falling away. I sought the face of God for many months, in fasting and prayers recognizing my great need for Him. I thank Him daily he loved me enough to apprehend me! How did I learn to pray in what He taught me? Remind Him of His word.
Let's use an example, make one...what about a home with wayward child(ren)? Parents, do you remind God of what He said more that what you see or hear or know here in the natural life? If you know these things in your heart and exercise that faith toward Him, the outcomes are nothing short of amazing. It may be only between you and God but, the clear results are there. Isaiah 54 is one of my favorites when praying for my family members. To me, if they are a descendant of mine, they are my kid. My responsibility to offer righteous prayer for their guidance and safety, hedging them in, asking God to keep them covered under the shadow of His wings. Amen. Speak to God as your Father, as He Who really does hear you, responds to your faith in Him.
What is that faith? In these recent decades (hahaha) there has been all this focus on faith but hey! How about we put the focus where it belongs? Faith is only good IF it is placed in GOD. OK?!
That was fun. Tee-hee.
